KIDdesigns, Inc. is looking to fill multiple product design positions with passionate, talented designers. Whether your strength is conceptual ideation or precision CAD, we are seeking creative individuals who can continue to enhance our diverse, cross-functional team.
With powerful licensed brands such as BARBIE, TRANSFORMERS, and LITTLEST PET SHOP, KIDdesigns delivers a broad range of electronic role-play, digital, and educational products that are recognized and appreciated around the world. The designer will be responsible for the design and development of new products within our many licensed toy brands as well as researching and defining new product opportunities. From initial concepts to sketch models, prototypes, engineering, colors, graphics and materials, the individual will work collaboratively and support other team members to ensure design intent and integrity is maintained throughout all stages of product development. Additionally, the designer will manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and focusing on targeted demographics through current technology, fashion, & lifestyle trends. All this, of course, while having fun… after all, we are a TOY company!
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or related field.
- 0-5 years experience in Industrial/Toy Design or related field.
- A creative thought process with the ability to inspire and challenge the status quo.
- Proven ability to communicate ideas both verbally and visually.
- Ability to identify and adapt consumer and lifestyle trends from unrelated industries into toy-based opportunities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
- Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and Solidworks a plus
